Corporate mail security opens your email before the recipient does. It fetches every image and follows every link to check them, which trips the tracking pixel exactly the way a human would. Report that number as an open rate and you are reporting your prospects' firewalls. On our own outreach in September 2026 the split was 4,483 opens from people and 7,010 from scanners, so the honest figure was 39% of what a naive counter would have printed.
An open rate you cannot trust flatters a report, and then it gets acted on: a subject line looks like a winner because a security appliance liked it, a segment looks warm because it is heavily filtered, and the next campaign is aimed at the wrong thing. A number that is wrong in a consistent direction is more dangerous than a missing one, because nobody questions it.
The report leads with meetings booked, positive replies and cost per meeting, each compared against the previous period, because those are the numbers that survive scrutiny. Opens are shown with the scanner traffic separated out. Every figure opens the records behind it (the funnel, the channels, the countries, the subject lines, the individual journeys), so a number you doubt can be taken apart and checked.
Addresses are pulled from Hunter, Apollo and public company registries and verified before anything is sent, so the bounce rate never becomes the thing teaching your domain a lesson. A new mailbox starts low and warms up on a schedule, and the deliverability guard sits between the engine and the outbound queue as its own component.
Each first contact is composed for that specific buyer, in their language, with no template and no merged-in name. That is a conversion argument, but it is a deliverability argument too: identical bodies at volume are exactly the pattern filters are built to catch. And the moment someone replies, the sequence stops itself, so nobody gets the follow-up that begins “just checking if you saw my last email” after they already answered it.
